For International Women's Day I would like to wish all the women of the world a peaceful march of solidarity, no more violence towards all women, and may they have the same rights as men everywhere.
And since it is my birthday today as well, i'm entitled to a wish:
I wish the women of Haiti would form large women's groups in all the towns and cities to help build a plan for Haiti's womens future. Haiti will need many women leaders in the near future.
Women instinctively know what is needed to build a good life for everyone in Haiti.
They know that greed and corruption only leads to more of the same.
They know that good free schools and childcare are needed for families to prosper.
They also know that violence is not the answer to anything.
They know that good education is the key to Haiti's future
They know that medical care is needed everywhere
They know that agriculture needs to be increased and managed for self-sufficiency
They know that animals need care to keep feeding them.
They know that their government needs to step up to the task.
Women just know....
So to the men of Haiti, trust your women and give them the power to help all of you.
And to all the women of Haiti; it's time to rise up and make it happen for all of you.
You'll know what to do and what needs to be done to better all of your lives.
My prayers are with all of you Haiti.
